I got to tour the Panama Canal in April 2024, it was a life long dream of mine. It is truly one of the greatest feats in Engineering History. But we have a problem, the worlds shortcut, is prone to major reductions with drought. This is a new reality for Panama, but its one that can effect shipping around the world. And today there’s no real alternative, until now, becaue Mexico believe they have a plan to rival the Panama Canal, and at least provide an alternative trade route. So how does it work, and does it have a shot? Let’s figure this out together!
